THINGS TO DO ON BRYHER (in no particular order...)

• Climb the seven hills of Bryher in just over 5 miles, and enjoy amazing views from the 'summits' (nothing more than 150 feet above sea level!)

• Hire a kayak or a motor or sailing boat from Hut 62 at Bennett Boatyard, www.bennettboatyard.com / www.hut62.co.uk

• Pick a beach (we are sure you can find one with no one else around) and go beach-combing, snorkelling or simply relax in the sun with a book

• Buy a shrimp net from Island Fish and see how many you can scoop out of the seaweed at low tide (July, August & September)

• Pick up supplies from one of the many local produce stands

• Check out the hammock / informal play area on Heathy Hill

• Take a guided walk with Katharine Sawyer, focusing on archaeological and historic sites, www.scillywalks.co.uk

• Take a guided walk with Will Wagstaff, resident ornithologist and naturalist, www.islandwildlifetours.co.uk

• Play tennis on our 'Multi Use Games Area' - book at Hell Bay hotel reception for £5 per hour. Racquets and balls available to hire

• Enjoy a spot of golf on a smaller scale (Par 3) at Hell Bay hotel

• Visit Richard Pearce's studios - one on Great Porth Beach in the Golden Eagle Gig Shed, and one in 'Town', next door to Bryher Shop

• See a gig close up and learn about the history of gig racing in Tresco & Bryher Rowing Club's gig shed, the Sussex Gig Shed at Bar

• Enjoy a facial or a massage at Hell Bay hotel, www.hellbay.co.uk/our-hotel/spa

• Enjoy the playground at Bryher Community Centre, or if it's a wet day (they do happen occasionally!) make use of the book library, table tennis or pool tables.
